Warran Glen Cafe, Warrandyte

If you're seeking a rustic bush settingfor your corporate event, consider booking it at the Warran Glen Cafe in Warrandyte, nestled on the banks of Jumping Creek.

The fully licensed cafe is ideal for daytime product launches and corporate events with operating hours of 9am-4.30pm daily.

Ceres Community Environment Park, Brunswick

If your event focuses on sustainable, eco-friendly products and services, you might want to book it at the Merri Cafe at Ceres Environment Park.

A non-profit centre offering an organic grocery and cafe, nursery and environmental education, this is ideal for guests who are mostly vegetarian, vegan and/or on a gluten-free diet.

However, in keeping with its earth-friendly ethos, all meat and dairy products on the Merri Cafe menu are organic, free range and cruelty free.

The Merri Cafe is best to book for smaller weekday functions of 15-30 people and for Saturday to Tuesday nights with a minimum of 30 people and a maximum of 80 people.

Glasshaus, Cremorne and Richmond

You can't possibly have a list of garden nursery venues without mentioning Glasshaus.

The Glasshaus Inside Cremorne venue, which ticks the "industrial chic" box, is a beautifully restored 1920s warehouse with its interior walls lushly draped in greenery.

You can hire this seven days a week from 5.30pm to midnight for up to 88 people for sit-down events and up to 125 for cocktail parties.

Its sister venue Glasshaus Outside, just 10 minutes away in Richmond with its glass greenhouse is best for day-time or afternoon events.

You can hire it for up to 60 people for a sit-down function and up to 95 for cocktails until 6.30pm.

The Secret Garden

Melbourne's famous for its rooftop bars, but did you know it also features a few rooftop gardens?

This Secret Garden might truly live up to its name, being 11 storeys above the QT Melbourne, making it a truly fresh new venue option.

It was originally exclusively used to grow fresh native produce for the QT's fine diner, Pascale Bar & Grill.

Soon, hotel chef Andy Harmer has recognised a golden opportunity to host intimate events for up to 25 guests to learn about such edible plants as karkalla, native river mint and blue lilly pilly.

Mesa Verde

Another rooftop garden in the heart of the CBD is on level 6 of Curtin House which surely must be Melbourne's cornucopia of function spaces, blessed as it is with venue options on every single floor!

You can book the charming Mesa Verde for garden-themed events for as exclusive as 12 people or for up to 30 guests.

The venue is perfect for spring and summer time events.

Your guests can sip their cocktails and enjoy a modern take on classic Mexican flavours amongst lush green surroundings whilst enjoying panoramic views of the Melbourne city skyline.

Bay Road Nursery & Cafe, Sandringham

The award-winning nursery is located in the bayside suburb of Sandringham.

The quaint weatherboard Bay Road Cafe (almost Hamptons-esque in style) is connected by an undercover walkway to the nursery shop (just try and stop yourself from buying some gorgeous homewares)  and has a paved courtyard, naturally lush with greenery and plants for purchase.

The licensed cafe is open seven days a week from 9am-4pm including most public holidays, offering capacity for around 50 seated or 80 guests standing during normal business hours.

For out of hours events the cafe can obtain an extended license for its outside courtyard can hold around 100 guests.

The Bay Road Nursery & Cafe prefers to use its own chefs wherever possible, but are happy to work with outside catering as required. See some other Melbourne venues which also allows external caterers.

Grow Event Space, Cheltenham

Not far from Bay Road Nursery and Cafe is the newly opened Grow Event Space.

Nestled within Gill's Landscaping and Nursery, it offers one of the largest and leafiest garden outlooks for your event.

Unusually, the garden space also includes an outdoor pool terrace which extends your decorating and entertaining options.

It offers long opening hours, from 7am to midnight with a capacity of 100 guest for a sit-down meal and up to 200 for a cocktail party.

The excellent in-house catering is provided by Blakes Feast with the exception of if it’s a Kosher event, in which case Kosher Classique are the caterers.
